No Added Sugar Challenge

Starting August first, my Husband, my Aunt and I are challenging ourselves to give up all added sugar from our diets for the entire month of August. Below, each one of us share why we are choosing to give up all added sugar for the month and what our current sugar vices are.

What sparked this sugar free challenge you ask? I read this article here, from goop.

So, what do we mean by added sugar? Think all desserts, sugary snacks, coffee drinks, juices, granolas etc. It will also include looking over prepared food labels very well. Think pasta sauces, salsa, and prepared simmer sauces. I am typically pretty good about reading food labels so I think this part will be easy for me, but my true vice is ice cream (in the summer months) and chocolate. Just a side note, we will be eating fresh fruit throughout the month.
