I have really grown to dislike the feeling of going to my closet, pulling out a trendy top or pant, and feeling like I have worn it and now over it. I also, find trendy pieces take more time to style and I really don’t have the time to over think my looks. Since shifting my focus to buying well designed basics I have been able to curate a really strong wardrobe that’s easy and effortless for me to style.

I wore this outfit while in New York for a buying trip. Currently this striped turtleneck is on sale at Threads as well as a few other great wardrobe essentials like this turtleneck here and this cardigan here. This Burberry trench coat was a purchase I made back in college, I really wanted a nice coat that I could wear for interviews and have for years to come and this coat never lets me down. I paired it back to a simple clean skinny jean and these Gucci slides. Also, a great purchase, I wear them all the time!

I love to keep my accessories simple and purposeful like this large everyday tote here. We carry a similar bag in store here and I love this leather version here. Simple black winter accessories like this beanie here, help keep my looks clean and neutral. Everyone needs two good pairs of sunglasses in your wardrobe, a good black pair and a good tortoise shell. These were a best seller at Threads last year and I love these here as well!
